By downloading or using Chef AI, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service govern your use of Chef AI, operated by Chef AI ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to be bound by these terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Chef AI. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. If you are between 13 and 18 years old, a parent or guardian should review these terms.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

Chef AI offers the following subscription options:

All payments are processed through Apple's App Store. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscription through your Apple ID account settings.

Refunds are handled according to Apple's refund policy. We do not issue refunds directly.

4. Free Trial

Annual subscriptions include a 3-day free trial for new subscribers. After the trial period, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid annual subscription and you will be charged $79.99. You may cancel during the trial period without charge.

5. Recipe Generations

Subscriptions include a monthly allocation of recipe generations (scans that produce 5 recipes each). Monthly subscribers receive 100 recipes per month (20 generations). Annual subscribers receive 125 recipes per month (25 generations). Unused generations do not roll over to the following month. Additional recipe top-up packs are available for purchase.

Chef AI provides general nutrition and meal planning guidance for wellness purposes only. The app is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Calorie and nutrition information is estimated and may not be perfectly accurate.

Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before making significant changes to your diet, exercise routine, or health goals, especially if you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or are taking medications.

We are not responsible for any health outcomes resulting from use of Chef AI.

Chef AI and all its content, features, and functionality are owned by Chef AI and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

Recipes generated by Chef AI are provided for your personal use. You may share recipes with others but may not sell or commercially exploit them.

9. User Content

By using Chef AI, you grant us a limited license to process the photos and data you provide solely for the purpose of delivering the app's services. We do not claim ownership of your photos or data.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chef AI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the app. Our total liability to you for any claims shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

Chef AI is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, that ingredient identification will be 100% accurate, or that recipes will meet your specific nutritional needs.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at hello@usechefai.com. Upon termination, your right to use Chef AI ceases immediately.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration rather than in court, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property matters.
